A faster wireless network is coming soon to Myrtle Beach, and users are sure to notice the increase in data transmission speed. This will be a boon for smartphone users in the area who are sick of waiting for websites to load and movies to download. The faster network will offer upgrade options thanks to improved technology at area cell phone providers.

T-Mobile and AT&T will be offering an speedier network known as HSPA+, which will offer an improvement on the existing 3G network that is now in place. The HSPA+ Network doesn't quite reach 4G speeds, but AT&T and Verizon Wireless are planning to introduce a true 4G LTE network in the area over the next several years. This could offer speeds between ten and 20 times faster than what is available today.

Germany's Loreley-Kliniken (Lorely Clinics) is using Aruba Networks' 802.11n wireless networks to access electronic health records in the cities of Oberwesel and St. Goar. The system provides wireless network security via the company's Policy Enforcement Firewall, which features identity-based security, quality of service control and traffic management capabilities.

Along with security, another big challenge for the clinics was delivering reliable wireless connectivity throughout their facilities. This issue was addressed by Aruba's exclusive Adaptive Radio Management technology. This remote access solution allowed many clinic staff who work off-site to easily access records remotely without compromising security. The Loreley clinics are part of the hospital GmbH St. Goar-Oberwesel. Both clinics together house 215 beds and treat over 4,800 cases each year with about 380 employees. The electronic records solution was implemented by Aruba authorized partner CSW, and allows for access to records hosted on the clinic's Maris System for on-site consultants, as well as internet access for patients.
